Kaio of the North is a character from Dragon Ball. He is Goku 's master and teaches him various techniques such as Genki Dama or Kaioken. Being the great King Kaio , he is a veritable encyclopedia on what is going on in the universe.

He is the 4th master of SonGoku and supposed to be very powerful, yet we will never see him fight. Master Kaio lives on a planet a few tens of meters in diameter with a gravity 10 times greater than that of the Earth.
