The Red Ribon Army is the most powerful and feared army on Earth. She first appears in Dragon Ball and is represented via Doctor Gero in the Cyborg Saga in Dragon Ball Z. The RR army also appears in Dragon Ball Super and in Dragon Ball GT , some members of the army will make a cameo.

Dr. Gero aka #20 is one of Earth's greatest scientists. He is the one who created all the artificial humans of the Red Ribbon Army (except #8 which he co-created with Dr. Frappé).

He is the father of Gevo alias N°16 created from the body of the deceased son of Gero who was shot dead. His genius allowed him to create fearsome artificial humans such as No. 17 and No. 18.
